NORMAL, Ill. - The 2015 tryout camp for the Normal CornBelters, presented by Illinois Corn Farmers, will be held on Saturday May 9 at The Corn Crib. The CornBelters will play their first home on Tuesday, May 19 at 6:35 p.m. versus the Gateway Grizzlies ("CEFCU Opening Night").
"It's a great opportunity for the CornBelters and the players who participate," said CornBelters Field Manager Brooks Carey. "It's out of camps like these we have signed some of the better players we have had over the years. We expect the same from this year's tryout."
The registration will begin at 7 a.m. and the camp will begin at 8 a.m. Carey and the rest of the 2015 CornBelters coaching staff will run the camp.
The players are responsible for wearing the proper baseball attire and bringing their own baseball equipment. No metal cleats are allowed on the field at The Corn Crib.
The fee for the camp is $60 if registration is done ahead of time. Walk up registration will be available and will be $75 the day of the camp.
