
Norfolk Inks Pair of Forwards

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. â Today, the Norfolk Admirals announced that they have signed right wing Cam Bristow and forward Dan Carlson to AHL standard players' contracts. In keeping with club policy, terms of the agreements were not disclosed. Bristow, 29, skated with the Ayr Scottish Eagles of the British Ice Hockey Superleague (BISL) for the past three seasons. He finished the 2001-02 campaign with 18 points (6+12) and 111 penalty minutes in 48 games as the Scottish Eagles captured the BISL's Challenger Cup.
In 1995, the 6'3", 220 lbs., winger attended the Calgary Flames (NHL) training camp following a season at the University of Saskatchewan in which he was named the Huskies' Rookie of the Year, posting 9+13=22 points and 22 PIM in 28 contests.
Carlson, 23, made his AHL debut with the Saint John Flames last year, recording his first AHL goal (one point) and four PIM in eight appearances. The Edina, Mn., native also played in 61 games for the Johnstown Chiefs (ECHL), registering 28 goals, 33 assists (61 points) and 63 PIM.
A former standout at Notre Dame University, the 5'10, 190 lbs., forward was a member of Team USA at the World Jr. Championships in 1998-99.
