
Norfolk Adds Right Wing Matt Bailey

ANAHEIM, Calif. -- The Anaheim Ducks announced Wednesday that the team has signed right wing Matt Bailey to a two-year entry level contract. The parent club has assigned him to their primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL), the Norfolk Admirals.
Bailey, 22, played four seasons at the University of Alaska-Anchorage of the WCHA from 2010-2014. He produced 47 goals and 47 assists for 94 points and also logged 167 penalty minutes in 138 career games.
This past season for the Seawolves, Bailey recorded career highs in goals, assists and points while leading the team in goals, points and game-winning tallies (6). He scored 20 times and picked up 18 assists for 38 total points in 38 games during 2013-14.
The 6-1, 201-pound winger was named to the 2013-14 All-WCHA First Team as well as the WCHA All-Academic Team. He was also honored as a WCHA Scholar-Athlete.
Prior to attending Alaska-Anchorage, Bailey played two seasons in the United States Hockey League (USHL) and recorded 24 goals and 71 total points in 117 games with the Tri-City Storm and Sioux Falls Stampede.
Next Home Game & Promotions : The Admirals host East-Division opponent Wilkes-Barre/Scranton for a two-game weekend series this Friday and Saturday at Scope. Friday's game at 7:30 p.m. features an Admirals BB&T Hat Giveaway during Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society Night. Saturday night is Operation Smile Night and Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Night. Game time is set for 7:15 p.m. with a Post Game Skate With The Admirals following the game.
