No Northwest: The Tulsa Oilers, who have played 15 of their last 16 games against teams in their own division, will venture outside the great Northwest this week. The Oilers host the Fort Worth Brahmas at 7 o'clock on Tuesday night, then have a weekend home and home series with the Memphis RiverKings. Friday's home game with Memphis starts at 7:35 p.m. Saturday the Oilers travel to Memphis for an early New Year's Eve contest that starts at 5:05 p.m. Saturday's game can be heard on KMMY FM 97.1.
Xmas Treat: The Oilers won their third straight Christmas night game over the Oklahoma City Blazers, 4-1 on Sunday night. That ended a three game road trip and two game losing streak. The Oilers had lost 9-3 in Colorado on Wednesday night, and lost 4-2 to Colorado on Friday night.
QuikTrip: Tuesday's game with Fort Worth will be the next QuikTrip Tuesday. Fans can stop by any of the Tulsa area QuikTrip stores to get a voucher which can be redeemed for a FREE ticket for Tuesday night's game.
Young Guns: Rookies Jim Dahl and Shawn Futers lead the CHL in goals and penalty minutes respectively, among first year pros. Dahl has 14 goals (tops on the Oiers as well as among rookies) and Futers has 132 penalty minutes to lead all rookies in that category.
