
NJ Storm drops eighth straight

East Rutherford, NJâThe Albany Attack improved to (4-6) tonight with an 11-8 victory over the New Jersey Storm (2-9) in National Lacrosse League action tonight in front of 7,115 at the Continental Airlines Arena. It was the Storm's eighth consecutive loss.
Leading the Attack this evening were forwards Dan Teat, Josh Sanderson and Rusty Kruger each with two goals apiece. The team now moves to within two games of Columbus for third place in the Central Division.
The Storm were paced by forward Roy Colsey's two-goal performance with forward Cam Bomberry (1G, 1A) also chipping in with two points. Despite the loss the team remains in third place in the Eastern Division behind Philadelphia for the second place spot.
Storm net minder Matt Roik (1-2) suffered his second loss of the season, stopping 42 Albany shots while Attack goalie Rob Blasdell turned away 42 Storm shots to improve to (4-4).
The Storm's next home game is on Saturday March 15, 2003 against the Ottawa Rebel at 8:00 p.m. The first 2,000 fans will receive a Storm t-shirt.
