NightHawks and Thunder offer unbeatable opportunity

August 24, 2004 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Maryland NightHawks News Release

Upper Marlboro, MD - Andrew Haines, Owner of the ABA's Maryland NightHawks announced an opportunity that a Pro-Basketball hopeful cannot pass up! On Saturday, September 11, 2004 the NightHawks will team up with the Carolina Thunder to host an Open Tryout. These two quality teams are looking to pick up the best talent in the Raleigh, NC area.

"Andrew and I thought that this would be a great opportunity for the players. There are too many times when talent gets overlooked or players remain undiscovered because they don't get an opportunity to perform. Hosting an open tryout for players to show for two pro basketball teams is a shot that most don't ever get and that we are happy to provide. Of course, we are looking for the best of the best to put on our team and what better way to do that then to create the most competitive environment," says owner of the Carolina Thunder, Tony Priscaro.

"Hopefully giving the players this once in a lifetime chance will bring them all out to the courts with a die-hard competitive attitude. I think it will be the best tryout so far for talent and competitiveness. Not, that any decision is easy, but with the environment that we are creating for these players it should be evident who takes control of the game and who is ready to make his mark playing pro ball," NightHawks owner, Andrew Haines said.
