Gwizzlies eager to be rival with Nashville
August 24, 2004 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Atlanta Vision News Release
In mid January 2005, the ABA Gwinnett Gwizzlies will play the ABA Nashville Hoops during the Dr. Martin Luther King jr Federal National Holiday Week. Gwizzlies officials state they have talked with Nashville officials and they accepted the invitation to play and begin the rivalry. The ballgame is scheduled at the Arena of Gwinnett Center. Both franchises are weighing in on a sellout since Nashville will showcase the first female Coach in mens professional basketball and the Gwizzlies will feature a host of local celebs. The ABA 2004-05 basketball season begins on November 15 and ends on March 2,2005. For further information please contact the Gwizzlies at gwizzlies@msn.com.
Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams. For information on professional minor leagues, please see OSC's basketball section.
