Lakeland ThunderBolts News Release

LAKELAND, Fla. – Centurion Sports Management, LLC announced today that the National Indoor Football League has awarded expansion franchises to three Florida cities. Lakeland, Kissimmee, and Daytona Beach were all given approval to begin play in March 2005 by an owner's vote at the NIFL league meetings in Las Vegas, on Tuesday, September 28th.

Potential franchises in Ft. Lauderdale and Miami, FL are still being considered by the NIFL and were given an extension to October 31st to fulfill league membership requirements.

With the League approval now in place, CSM continues to seek local investors, sponsors and corporate partners to add stability to its franchises.

Official press conferences will be scheduled for each city to make formal announcements and introduce a "Name the Team" campaign encouraging fans to submit suggestions for the name of the new teams.
