NIFL Recognizes Outstanding Teams at League Meetings

Lafayette, LA--The National Indoor Football League is pleased to honor a multitude of outstanding franchises for their efforts during the 2004 season, as announced at the league-wide meetings held in Las Vegas, NV earlier in the week.

Pacific Conference

Best Announcer: Wyoming Cavalry

Best Gameday: Omaha Beef

Most Professional: Sioux City Bandits

Most Community Oriented: Billings Outlaws

Best Website: Sioux Falls Storm

Best Mascot: Omaha Beef

Best Dance Team: Utah Warriors

Best Statistics: Sioux City Bandits

General Manager of the Year: Colin Steen - Sioux Falls Storm

Atlantic Conference

Best Announcer: Lake Charles LandSharks

Best Gameday: Fort Wayne Freedom

Most Professional: Lexington Horsemen

Most Community Oriented: Show Me Believers

Best Website: Lexington Horsemen

Best Mascot: Lexington Horsemen

Best Dance Team: Evansville BlueCats

Best Statistics: Tupelo FireAnts

General Manager of the Year: John Blackmore - Ohio Valley Greyhounds

The Fort Wayne Freedom also received top honors for having the best attendance throughout the National Indoor Football League in 2004, with an average attendance of 8,061 per game during the regular season. Also, Lexington Head Coach Bob Sphire was named NIFL Coach of the Year for his efforts in leading the Horsemen to the 2004 NIFL Championship.
