
Niec Signs Celebrity Contract

Elmira, NY - The head coach has felt the itch and he is scratching it. Andre Niec will play his first game as a Carolina Thunderbird today at First Arena against the Elmira Enforcers.
?Niec played two seasons in the FHL with the now-defunct Berlin River Drivers appearing in 51 games and registering 53 points (7G-46A). Niec transitioned to head coaching full time during his second season in Berlin when the River Drivers came within one game of the FHL championship.
In Niec's career he played in five different countries over a span of 17 years. He is an FHL defenseman of the year (2015-16) and FHL Executive of the year (2016-17).
The Carolina Thunderbirds look to take a weekend sweep from the Elmira Enforcers with the third game of the series being played today at 4:05 P.M. at First Arena. The Honda of Winston-Salem pregame show begins on the Carolina Thunderbirds broadcast network at 3:40.
