Calgary Vipers News Release
Theo Fleury will sign his Golden Baseball League contract at 4:00 PM (MDT) Thursday afternoon and follow that up by taking batting practice with the team. Fleury will also engage in batting practice Friday August 8th starting at 4:00 PM (MDT). On Saturday August 9th at 5:05 PM (MDT) Fleury will make his professional baseball debut as Calgary and Yuma play a double-header.
Also on Friday at 7:05 PM (MDT) former Calgary Flame Mike Commodore will throw out the first pitch and sign autographs.
Calgarian and Washington Capital Mike Green will also throw out the first pitch and sign autographs Sunday August 10th at 1:35 PM (MDT).
Thursday August 7th the Vipers and the Long Beach Armada conclude a three game series starting at 7:05 PM (MDT) with Nate Melek (4-4) toeing the rubber.
Friday it is Foam Finger Night Giveaway at the ballpark as Calgary takes on the Yuma Scorpions with Joe Sergent (2-2) starting. Saturday the Vipers will throw Dallas Mahan (3-2) and Phil Sobkow (1-3) in the twin bill and Sunday the four game series and home stand concludes with Evan Greusel (7-2) taking the mound.
