Nextel to Bring Boys & Girls Clubs of the Roanoke Valley to Dazzle Meet the Team Night

ROANOKE , Va , January 7, 2004 – The members of the Nextel Partners, Inc. are making it possible for over forty children of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Roanoke Valley to attend the Roanoke Dazzle Meet the Team night at the Roanoke Civic Center Coliseum January 12, 2004 at 5:00 p.m. The invitation only event is an opportunity for the children to not only meet Dazzle players, but shoot around and interact with the team. The purpose is to give these disadvantaged kids an opportunity to be part of the Roanoke Dazzle. The event will also feature the catering of Roanoke’s newest restaurant Buffalo Wild Wings.

Events like this one show the Dazzle really is reaching out the Roanoke Valley and we are proud to be a partner in this effort. This is the 3rd Annual Meet the Team reception the Dazzle will host for season ticket holders and corporate sponsors. The Meet the Team reception gives loyal Dazzle supporters the opportunity to sit down to dinner with the players, get photos with their favorite Dazzle stars and enjoy fun and games on the court. “It’s a great chance to meet the guys, plus the players like to know who is cheering for them night in and night out,” Head Coach Kent Davison said.
