
Next Care-A-Van With Goodwill Industries Set For Friday At Lake Isabella

Thursday, July 26: Scott Borders will be visiting kids during CHW Learning Center's after school program from 2:30 to 3 p.m. Borders will meet and greet the kids, participate in educational games and talk about the upcoming 10th Anniversary Season. CHW Learning Center is located at 631 E. California St.
Friday, July 27: The Condors will travel to Lake Isabella with Goodwill Industries for the second Condors Care-A-Van of the summer. This road trip will once again assist Goodwill in collecting donations and spread the word about the upcoming 10th Anniversary Season. Sean Venedam, mascot Colonel Claw'd and members of the front office will visit Kelley's Café, located at 6627 Wofford Heights Blvd, from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and the South Fork "Kids Day Camp," located at 5225 Kelso Valley Road, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Come visit the Condors at either location to drop off your donations, get an autograph from one of your favorite players and take a whack in the Condors Slapshot. Week In Review:
Saturday, July 21: A special fundraiser was held for former Condors intern Nathan Gutierrez, who is in need of a kidney transplant. In conjunction with the Children's Organ Transplant Association, "Bands & Brews," took place at Fishlips, located at 1517 18th St. Several bands entertained the packed crowd, while raffles and prizes were given away throughout the evening. Thursday, Aug. 2: Mascot Colonel Claw'd will visit Loudon Elementary Daycare, located at 4000 Loudon St., at 9 a.m. The Colonel will play educational games with the kids and be available for pictures and autographs.
Saturday, Aug. 4: Andrew Ianiero and Colonel Claw'd will be at Barber Honda from 10 a.m. to noon to mingle with kids for the finale of Barber Honda's summer kids camp. The kids will have an opportunity to play in the Condors' Bounce House, win cool prizes and get autographs and pictures with Borders and Colonel Claw'd. Barber Honda is located at 4500 Wible Road.
Saturday, Aug. 4: Mascot Baby Cal will be dropping by the Golden Empire's Youth Football Carnival at Silver Creek Park, located in southwest Bakersfield at the corner of Harris Road and Reliance Drive. During the carnival, the Southwest Football teams will be holding a special rally to introduce their players and cheerleaders. Baby Cal will assist with all the festivities and of course be available for pictures and autographs.
