Newport Gulls News Release

NEWPORT, R.I. - The Newport Gulls welcome local fans to step forward and show off their singing voice or unusual and exciting talents on the field at Cardines on "Newport Gulls Idol Night" Monday, July 2.

The Gulls are looking for seven to eight lucky and talented fans to participate in Idol Night. Contestants will be given a chance to sing a song of their choice or perform a talent for 30-60 seconds in between innings during Monday night's game against the New Bedford Bay Sox.

Gulls interns Shannon Ellis, Cassie Lee, and Briana Paganetti will judge performances, along with Gully and Gully Jr. The winner will receive a very special prize and all contestants will receive a giveaway from the Gulls.

If you wish to become a participant, please send your information - name and song you want to sing, or talent you will be performing - to Director of Game Day Operations, George Bissell, at operations@newportgulls.com.

Audition videos are not required, but are encouraged and will improve your odds of being selected. If you would like to submit one, please send those along to operations@newportgulls.com as well.
