Newark Bears Offer Special Deal to Help Local Businesses

The Newark Bears have announced a special offer to help local businesses during a difficult economic period.
The Bears will provide one complimentary ticket to each customer that purchases a particular item in participating stores, agreed upon by the team and the business. The "Newark Bears Item of the Week," allows businesses to sweeten a deal by giving customers a free ticket to a Bears game of their choice.
The team is hoping to assist businesses in and around Newark while treating their customers to a free game.
"Our goals go beyond winning ballgames," said the team's owner/CEO/general manager Danielle Dronet. "We strive every day to make this community a better place, and we hope that this offer will give a boost to participating businesses."
Businesses can email info@newarkbears.com to submit their suggestion for "Newark Bears Item of the Week." The deadline to submit an item to the team is Friday, July 13. Each business must have a valid tax ID number. The program will run for seven days.
