
New York Liberty Waive Kiah Stokes

NEW YORK - The New York Liberty today announced that the team has waived veteran center Kiah Stokes.
Through nine games in 2021, Kiah averaged 1.2 points and 4.2 rebounds over 15.0 minutes per game. A six-year New York Liberty veteran, Stokes is the franchise leader in blocks (195). Over her career 156 games in New York, 44 of which she started, the 6-3 center averaged 5.0 points, 6.1 boards, 1.3 blocks, and 21.4 minutes per game.
An alumna of University of Connecticut, Stokes was the Liberty's No. 11 overall selection in the 2015 WNBA Draft, and went on to garner WNBA All-Rookie Team honors in 2015.
