
New York Liberty Launch Sales Academy Pilot Program

NEW YORK - The New York Liberty today announced the launch of Liberty Sales Academy, an 8-week training and development pipeline for junior sales professionals to earn positions with the New York Liberty.
"Our primary goal with Liberty Sales Academy is to prepare entry-level sales professionals with what it takes to be successful in the sports industry," said Liberty CEO, Keia Clarke. "With so much uncertainty in the job market, particularly for students who will soon enter the workforce, we knew that now was the time to create innovative opportunities."
Genesis Botero, the Liberty's Director of Ticket Sales and Service added, "Oftentimes, WNBA teams do not have the resources or bandwidth to create Inside Sales departments. Liberty Sales Academy will attempt to build a future bench for our niche positions."
The program is accessible to participants who do not have experience in the professional sports industry, undergraduate students, recent graduates, and professionals from other industries looking to crossover into sports and entertainment.
At the end of the program, the top performing participant will begin a role as part of the Liberty Sales Team. The first cohort has been announced and includes the following individuals:
