New Timbers, Beavers owner Merritt Paulson, 10 Timbers players to visit Boise-Eliot School Wednesday

WHO: Merritt Paulson, who was introduced as the new owner of the Portland Timbers and the Portland Beavers on Tuesday, and Timbers players Chris Bagley, Neil Dombrowski, Bryan Jordan, Kevin Meissner, Lawrence Olum, Tom Poltl, Troy Ready, Tom Taylor, Justin Thompson and Josh Wicks.

WHAT: Paulson and the Timbers will play soccer with fifth graders at Boise-Eliot School in North Portland. Boise-Eliot has not had a formal physical education program for five years. The kids will get the chance to test their soccer skills with the Timbers players. The team also will donate 20 Nike soccer balls to the school's P.E. program to be used when the curriculum is brought back in 2008.
