New Mexico United News Release
Albuquerque, NM - New Mexico United rounded out their preseason trip to Tucson with a 3-3 draw against Major League Soccer's Chicago Fire FC. Josh Dolling was sensational for United - scoring a pair of goals, and contributing across the pitch en route to the draw, United's third positive result in three matches so far this preseason.
Amando Moreno opened the scoring early in this one: His twelfth-minute goal was expertly tucked home after a deft cross from newcomer Greg Hurst, giving United the first tally of the match.
After Chicago evened the score in the 35th minute, United retook the advantage, as Dolling fired home his first goal in Black & Yellow, off of a terrific cross from Santi Moar, giving United a 2-1 lead, eleven minutes into the second half.
Four minutes later, the Englishman struck again. Dolling received a simple pass from Moreno inside the box and tapped home for the brace and a 3-1 New Mexico lead. A few moments following Dolling's second score, United made wholesale changes, bringing on eight substitutions. Within ten minutes, Chicago equalized, earning a 3-3 draw.
New Mexico returns to the Land of Enchantment for their first home preseason match of the season this Sunday. United will take on rivals El Paso Locomotive FC at the First Financial Training Center. Kick-off is scheduled for Sunday at 2:00 PM. Fans can purchase tickets for all United preseason matches at https://seatgeek.com/new-mexico-united-tickets/.
