New Mexico United News Release
ALBUQUERQUE, NM - In partnership with local wholesaler Premier Distributing Company and Michelob Ultra, New Mexico United announced today a fundraising campaign to help hospitality industry employees who have been impacted by business closures and temporary lay-offs.
"Every single New Mexican is being impacted by the current situation, and we are working overtime to find ways to help. " said majority owner & CEO of New Mexico United, Peter Trevisani. "Community is what will get us through this time, and working with our long-time partners to get this done is what community is all about."
The team will be offering 505 t-shirts with the words - "hard work" - emblazoned on a PUMA-branded shirt for fans to purchase, in both youth and adult sizes. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Serving New Mexico Fund, part of the Hospitality Industry Education Foundation. The fund offers financial assistance to restaurant and hospitality workers facing 'unanticipated hardships'. Premier Distributing Company & Michelob Ultra plan to match New Mexico United's donation.
"Our friends and family in the hospitality industry need a hand right now," said Jimmy Bates, Executive Vice President of Premier Distributing Company. "Teaming up with New Mexico United will help raise money and awareness for this cause, and show this hardworking group of people that New Mexico is with them."
The Hard Work Ethos T-Shirt ($30, $15 youth) will be available to purchase starting today, while supplies last. The shirt is only available at shop.newmexicoutd.com.
