February 19, 2024 - United Soccer League Championship (USL)
New Mexico United News Release
New Mexico United is devastated to share the news that all-time leading goal scorer Chris Wehan has reinjured his knee, bringing his time with United to a close. Wehan initially injured his knee during the 2023 season, and had been working diligently on making a comeback.
New Mexico United is incredibly grateful for the terrific effort, leadership, and community care that Chris has shown since day one. He leaves as the club's all-time leader in goals (37) and assists (18), and is fifth, all-time, in appearances (102) for United.
New Mexico United wishes Chris the best in his recovery, and will be forever grateful for his contributions to this club and this state. The club will celebrate Chris throughout the year, but right now is focused on supporting him through his rehabilitation.
