New Mexico United News Release
Albuquerque, NM - New Mexico United and the Somos Unidos Foundation will kick off their third annual Holiday Tour tomorrow, December 2nd. The week-long event, sponsored by T-Mobile, includes stops across the state. At each stop United players, coaches and/or staff will drop off supplies, gifts and essential goods to New Mexican children, and at some stops conduct clinics for young attendees.
"We're proud to represent New Mexico and visit all corners of the state during the Holiday Tour - one of our flagship events each season," said Executive Director of the Somos Unidos Foundation, Chanel Wiese. "It can be tough for every kid in New Mexico to make their way to Albuquerque for a match, so we want to take every opportunity to bring a bit of United magic to them around the holidays."
This year United and the Somos Unidos Foundation are adding an additional fun twist to the Holiday Tour: Beginning December 2nd, fans can purchase New Mexico United teddy bears at the team shop and online as holiday gifts for the kids (and big kids) in their lives. For every teddy bear sold, another will be donated to a kid in New Mexico, making sure they have a gift to take home with them this holiday season.
GET A BEAR, GIVE A BEAR
We've teamed up with our friends FlowState Branding to create these adorable stuffed animals for a purpose; every bear sold is a bear donated to the Somos Unidos Foundation who will be finding homes for the bears all across New Mexico as a part of the T-Mobile Holiday Tour! Bears available at the team store and online!
Happy Holidays and Somos Unidos!
