
New Glens Falls team name, logo announced

GLENS FALLS, N.Y.- Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League President Jeffrey Kunion along with the City of Glens Falls Mayor "Jack" Diamond and franchise owner Ben Bernard announce the new team name will be the GLENS FALLS DRAGONS. The Dragons replace the Golden Eagles Baseball Club.
Bernard is the former owner of the Oakland A's minor league team, the Albany Colonie A's and the New York Yankees AA team, the Albany Colonie Yankees. Bernard began his baseball career in Glens Falls as the General Manager of the Chicago White Sox AA team in 1981 and 1982 before purchasing the West Haven, Connecticut franchise and moving it to Albany, New York.
The Glens Falls Dragons hope to attract many families and baseball fans that made the region a baseball hotbed for many years. Marketing efforts will include Warren, Washington and Saratoga counties. The Dragons will provide many promotions and giveaways and make it a fun experience to attend a baseball game at East Field Stadium in Glens Falls. Bernard is looking forward to making improvements to the stadium and creating a Dragon Kids Zone that will make for a great family experience. The Dragons look forward to creating a great brand with the new logo and will be introducing a team mascot in the near future.
