Bismarck Bobcats News Release

(Bismarck, ND)- -The Bismarck Bobcats are pleased to announce the hiring of former Springfield Jr. Blues head coach Nick Pollos. Pollos will take on the role of scouting for the Bobcats as they enter their 10th anniversary season.

"We are excited to have Nick as a part of our scouting staff," said Bobcats head coach Dane Litke. "He brings a wealth of hockey knowledge to the table and will be a big asset for our organization."

Pollos will be seeing talent that the Bobcats staff would normally not get to see in the Chicago area and he will be providing players from that area. Pollos is currently the head coach of the Chicago Fury, a AAA midget major team.

"The Bobcats have a solid foundation for Junior A Hockey, with great leadership and a proven support staff," said Pollos. "Bismarck has a tradition of player development and advancement and I look forward to continuing that tradition and I'm excited to work with head coach Dane Litke."

Pollos will also be assisting Litke at the Bobcats final try-out camp in Bismarck August 3rd - 5th. The invitational camp will include certain players from last years roster, as well as players from the Bobcats try-out camps in Michigan, Minnesota and Colorado.

"Bismarck is a great place to play with great fans in an impressive community, and I'm proud to be part of the staff, "stated Pollos.

Pollos, Litke and the rest of the team are planning for another very exciting year of Bobcat Hockey. Season tickets are on sale and can be purchased at the Bobcats office (located in the VFW Sports Center at 1200 N. Washington Street), by phone at 222-3300 or by email at bisbobcats@aol.com.
