MONTPELIER Vt. - The Vermont Mountaineers are slated to host the Newport Gulls on Sunday, June 11 at 6:30 p.m at historic Montpelier Recreation Field for their home opener. The game is sponsored by The National Life Group.

The Mountaineers begin their 21st season in the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) with a three-game road trip starting on Wednesday, June 7 at Dodd Stadium in Norwich, CT. home of the Mystic Schooners. First pitch for the game is set for 6:30 p.m.

Vermont is coming off a historic year after winning a league best 32 games, tying the 2006 Newport Gulls regular season wins record, and advancing to the league finals under first-year manager Mitch Holmes. You can follow all season long on the NECBL Broadcast Network.
