Spokane Shock News Release
Spokane, WA: The Spokane Shock announced today that Team President Adam Nebeker will be leaving the Shock organization. Nebeker has accepted a position as Executive Director of Cancer Patient Care.
"My career with the Shock has been an incredible experience and I'm extremely proud of what we accomplished, both on and off the field. We have achieved more than I ever thought possible," said Nebeker. "The time has now come for me to work toward other personal goals. I'm excited to join the tremendous Cancer Patient Care team and to make a contribution to its great mission. I look forward to the challenges and rewards of working for this fine organization."
"I know that the Shock organization is in good hands. Brady and the rest of the staff are the best in the business and I have no doubt they'll keep the Shock at the top of the league."
Nebeker, who has served as General Manager from the team's inception until earlier this year, will continue as a member of the Shock ownership group.
"Adam will be missed but I'm proud to know that he will be making a difference in our community," CEO/Owner Brady Nelson said. "As the brother of a cancer survivor, I know the work that Cancer Patient Care does makes a tremendous difference to those in need. Adam will provide dynamic leadership for that organization and will make an excellent addition to its team."
Nelson will assume the majority of Nebeker's duties in his absence. Nebeker will be available to members of the media upon request.
Spokane opens the 2012 season on Monday March 12th against the Iowa Barnstormers. For ticket information contact the Shock office at 509 242 7462 ext 1.
