NBA TV to Televise 2015 NBA D-League Showcase Presented by Samsung
January 12, 2015 - NBA G League (G League) News Release
NBA TV will air 10 live game broadcasts from the 2015 NBA D-League Showcase presented by Samsung, which tips off Thursday, Jan. 15, and runs through Monday, Jan. 19. The 11th annual NBA D-League Showcase will take place at Kaiser Permanente Arena, home of the Santa Cruz Warriors. Each of the NBA D-League's 18 teams will play two games each during the 2015 NBA D-League Showcase, with eight teams playing for the inaugural Showcase Cup, a bracketed in-season tournament. Teams qualified for the Cup by earning the NBA D-League's best records through Jan. 1, 2015. All Showcase games, with the exception of the Championship Game on Monday, Jan. 19, count toward regular season records.
The 10 NBA D-League teams not in contention for the Showcase Cup will play two non-tournament games as part of the event. The league's premiere in-season scouting event, the 2015 NBA D-League Showcase presented by Samsung provides exposure for NBA D-League players and coaches to general managers, player personnel executives, and scouts from each of the 30 NBA teams at one convenient location.
The network's coverage of the NBA D-League Showcase will include highlights, interviews and daily recaps on both NBA GameTime and The Starters, as well as features on Westchester Knicks small forward Thanasis Antetokounmpo, the Top 10 NBA D-League plays of 2014 and the high scoring Reno Bighorns. Chad Andrus, Eric Rothman, Rosalyn Gold-Onwude, and David Resnick will call the action throughout the week.
