SPURS RECALL JAMES ANDERSON FROM AUSTIN TOROS

The San Antonio Spurs today announced that they have recalled rookie James Anderson from the Austin Toros of the NBA Development League. Anderson, a 6-6, 215-pound guard, was assigned to the Toros on January 26 for a rehab assignment. He has been out since November 11 when he was diagnosed with a stress fracture inthe fifth metatarsal of his right foot. In Austin, Anderson played in two games, averaging 14.5 points and 2.0 rebounds in 14.0 minutes per game. He shot .556 (10-18) from the field, .444 (4-9) from three-point territory and .714 (5-7) from the free throw line. Before the injury, he appeared in six games for the Spurs, averaging 7.0 points and 1.5 assists in 17.7 minutes per game. He is shooting .424 (14-33) from the field and .500 (10-20) from three-point land.

Marcus Cousin scored 20 points, while Lance Thomas added 18 points and 13 rebounds, leading Austin over New Mexico in overtime. Kevin Palmer led the Toros with 21 points, while New Mexico's Dar Tucker led all scorers with 27 points.

Richard Roby scored 34 points, Jerel McNeal added 25 points, and Jeff Adrien recorded 24 points and 15 rebounds, giving Rio Grande Valley the win at Iowa. Chris Lofton scored 29 points, and Marqus Blakely added 24 points for the Energy.

Anthony Goods led all scorers with 19 points, leading Dakota to a home victory over Sioux Falls. Anthony Harris led the Skyforce with 14 points and 11 rebounds, while Patrick Ewing Jr. had 13 points and 15 rebounds.

Portland Trail Blazers assignee Armon Johnson shot 10-of-11 from the field for 23 points, leading Idaho to the home win over Fort Wayne. Walker Russell led the Mad Ants with 20 points.

Donald Sloan scored 22 points, and Danny Green added 20 points and 11 rebounds, leading Reno to the victory over Bakersfield. Derrick Byars led the Jam with 21 points and 10 rebounds.

ALUMNI ACHIEVEMENTS: A look at NBA D-League Alumni in last night's NBA games:

39 players with NBA D-League experience competed in eight NBA games last night, seven as starters.

Indiana's Josh McRoberts had 20 points and eight rebounds in a loss to Chicago.

Toronto's Ed Davis had 15 points and 11 rebounds in a loss to the Timberwolves.
