MIAMI HEAT ASSIGNS PITTMAN TO NBA D-LEAGUE AFFILIATE SIOUX FALLS SKYFORCE
Miami Heat center Dexter Pittman was assigned to the Sioux Falls Skyforce, the Heat's NBA Development League affiliate, it was announced today. The assignment marks the seventh time in the 2010-11 season an NBA player has been assigned to an NBA D-League affiliate, and it is the first assignment for Pittman, a rookie out of Texas. Pittman (6-11, 308) has not appeared in any regular season games for the Heat this season, and averaged 3.5 points, 1.8 rebounds and 11.3 minutes in four preseason games. Miami's second-round pick (32nd overall) in the 2010 NBA Draft, Pittman averaged 6.0 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.7 blocks in three NBA Summer League games.

Patrick Ewing Jr. scored 20 points and grabbed 9 rebounds to help Reno knock off Bakersfield 105-90. DJ Strawberry added 14 points in his first D-League action of the season for Reno.
Springfield edged Maine by a score of 88-85 backed by Scottie Reynolds, who had a game high 30 points.
Ivan Johnson tossed in 16 points and grabbed five rebounds to led Erie past Fort Wayne by a score of 109-102.
Othyus Jeffers put up a double-double scoring 32 points and snagging 18 rebounds. Chris Lofton threw down 28 points in the Iowa victory over Tulsa
The Sioux Falls Skyforce knocked off the Dakota Wizards backed by a 32 point evening by Leemire Goldwire.
Joe Alexander came off the bench for Texas to score 23 points and grab 10 boards in a win over Idaho.
Anthony Richardson's double-double performance where he scored 17 points and tallied 14 rebounds helped New Mexico defeat Utah 109-100.

30 players with NBA D-League experience competed in 12 NBA games last night, three as starters.
Chicago's CJ Watson started and scored a game high 33 points in a loss to Denver.
Milwaukee's Ersan Ilyasova recorded a double-double, knocking in 14 points and grabbing 11 rebounds in a loss to Detroit.
Orlando's Brandon Bass came off the bench and had 10 points, four rebounds and an assist in a win over Cleveland.
