NEW MEXICO ACQUIRES DAR TUCKER FROM TEXAS
The New Mexico Thunderbirds acquired guard Dar Tucker (6-4, 205, DePaul) yesterday from the Texas Legends for a 2011 second round draft pick. Tucker began the season with the Texas Legends and played 17 minutes in their season opener last night, scoring 10 points and grabbing seven rebounds. During the 2009-10 season, Tucker played for the Los Angeles D-Fenders and averaged 11.5 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 46 games, 12 starts. He also won the 2010 NBA Development League Dunk Contest. Tucker played college basketball at DePaul University and averaged 18.5 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.4 steals per game during his sophomore season in 2008-09. His 592 total points during the 2008-09 season rank eighth all-time on the single season DePaul scoring list. To make room for Tucker, the Thunderbirds waived forward Jason Miller.

Trey Johnson, who was in training camp with the Lakers, scored 24 points, and Jeremy Wise added 17 to lead Bakersfield past Tulsa. Marcus Lewis led six players from Tulsa in double digits with 23 points on 11-for-14 shooting.
Courtney Sims scored 30 points and Phoenix Suns assignee Gani Lawal added 22 points and 13 rebounds as Iowa defeated Dakota. In its four year history, the Energy is undefeated in season openers. Darren Cooper led the Wizards with 23 points.
Toronto Raptors assignee Solomon Alabi tallied 13 points, seven rebounds and seven blocks, and Cleveland Cavaliers assignee Christian Eyenga added 12 points to lead Erie over Springfield. Scottie Reynolds paced the Armor with 21 points.
Marcus Cousin, who was in training camp with the San Antonio Spurs, had 21 points and 12 rebounds, while Kevin Palmer added 22 points for Austin in a win over Maine. Paul Harris led Maine with 20 points and 10 rebounds.

Philadelphia's Louis Williams came off the bench to score 19 points in a win over Milwaukee.

Golden State's Reggie Williams came off the bench to score 18 points in a loss to New York.
