2010 NBA D-LEAGUE SHOWCASE CONTINUES TODAY

The 2010 NBA Development League Showcase tipped off its 16-game schedule on Monday, Jan. 4 and it runs through Thursday, Jan. 7. The sixth annual event is take place at Qwest Arena, home of the Idaho Stampede in Boise, Idaho and features all 16 NBA D-League teams playing two games apiece under one roof. NBA TV, the league's 24 hour network, is featuring seven live game broadcasts of the event, while the other nine games are being shown live, online, for free on NBA Futurecast at nba.com/dleague.

IDAHO'S GAINES CALLED-UP TO UTAH JAZZ

The Utah Jazz yesterday signed Sundiata Gaines of the Idaho Stampede, pending the outcome of a physical. Gaines is the fourth GATORADE Call-Up of the 2009-10 NBA Development League Season and joins 66 other NBA players with NBA D-League experience. Gaines has appeared in all 14 of Idaho's games this season, averaging a team-high 23.9 points (fourth in the NBA D-League) to go with 6.9 assists (third in the NBA D-League), 4.7 rebounds and 2.3 steals (third in the NBA D-League).

All seven players who took the court for Sioux Falls scored in double figures, led by 20 points from David Bailey. Reggie Williams had a terrific all-around game, finishing with 15 points on 6-for-9 shooting to go with eight rebounds and four assists.

Alexis Ajinca and Will Blalock each scored 21 points for the Red Claws.

Mustafa Shakur led Tulsa with 24 points and nine assists. D.J. White, on assignment from the Oklahoma City Thunder, finished with 17 points on 8-for-13 shooting to go with a game-high 11 rebounds.

Dontell Jefferson led Utah with 21 points. Carlos Wheeler added 18 points for the Utah.

Cartier Martin scored 18 points on 5-for-8 shooting. Pat Carroll added 17 points, and Curtis Stinson had a game-high 11 assists.

Curtis Jerrells scored a game-high 26 points for the Toros. Lewis Clinch and Alonzo Gee each added 19 points for Austin.

Romel Beck scored a Showcase-high 39 points for Dakota.

Morris Almond scored 34 points for Springfield.
