KINGS ASSIGN DONTE GREENE TO RENO
The Sacramento Kings have assigned Donte Greene to the Reno Bighorns of the NBA Development League. Greene, a 6-10, 226-pound forward, who currently is in his rookie season with Sacramento, is averaging 4.5 points and 1.8 rebounds per game through 24 contests, of which he has started four. Drafted by Memphis as an undergraduate out of Syracuse in the first-round (28th overall) of the 2008 NBA Draft, Greene was traded to Houston before being acquired by the Kings via trade along with guard Bobby Jackson, a 2009 first-round draft selection and cash considerations in exchange for forward Ron Artest, rookie guard Sean Singletary and rookie forward Patrick Ewing, Jr.
FRIDAY NIGHT HIGHLIGHTS...top performers from Friday's games
Joe Crawford scored as D-Fenders franchise record 44 points to lead Los Angeles. Darren Cooper followed with 15, while Dwayne Mitchell and Anthony Coleman chipped in 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Dontell Jefferson scored 25 points and seven assists. Teammate Kyrylo Fesenko recorded a double-double scoring 17 points and collecting 13 rebounds in just 24 minutes.
Ivan Harris posted a game-high 29 points to go with 13 rebounds as the Erie BayHawks. Erik Daniels also recorded a double-double for Erie with 26 points and 12 rebounds.
Chris Hunter registered 27 points and 10 rebounds for Fort Wayne. Former Bayhawks forward Taj Mccullough added 26 points for the Mad Ants.
Dakota's Blake Ahearn scored a season-high 40 points and Richard Hendrix recorded his fourth double-double on the season by scoring 17 points and grabbing 13 rebounds. Renaldo Major and Will Frisby each added 14 points for the Wizards and Maurice Baker rounded out the double-digit scorers with 12 points.
Keith Brumbaugh paced the Skyforce with 23 points and six rebounds. Carl Elliott added 18 points and matched his season-high with eight assists.
Will Conroy recorded 23 points and buried a last-second game-winning bucket as the Albuquerque Thunderbirds topped the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, 97-95, for their fourth straight victory. Keith McLeod finished with 19 points while David Monds contributed 16 points and 11 rebounds.
Alpha Bangura paced the Vipers with a game-high 29 points and Trent Strickland scored 19.
Coby Karlsank sank a pair of free throws with 3.1 seconds left in overtime to give the Idaho Stampede a thrilling 132-130 victory over the Anaheim Arsenal. Karl finished with a team-high 32 points to go with seven rebounds and six assists. Luke Jackson added 23 points and Jamaal Tatum posted 21. Lance Allred recorded a double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds for the Stampede (14-4), who have won six straight.
Anaheim's Tierre Brown led all scorers with 35 points to go with a game-high 15 assists, while Kedrick Brown added 27 points. James White finished with 24 points for the Arsenal

34 players with D-League experience competed in 12 NBA games last night, 10 as starters.
Nets forward Bobby Simmons finished with 15 points for the Bucks.
As a starter for the Houston Rockets, Von Wafer tallied 14 points. Aaron Brooks also finished in double figures with 12 points.
Gerald Greenracked up 13 points in just nine minutes of play for the Dallas Mavericks.
In 21 minutes of play, Marcin Gortat grabbed 12 rebounds for the Orlando Magic and added eight points.
Ramon Sessionsnotched a double-double for Milwaukee, scoring 11 points and 10 assists.
