NEW JERSEY'S WILLIAMS ASSIGNED TO NBA D-LEAGUE AFFILIATE COLORADO 14ERS
New Jersey Nets forward Sean Williams was assigned to the Colorado 14ers, the Nets' NBA Development League affiliate. Williams is the 15th NBA player to be assigned to his NBA D-League affiliate this season and joins Sonny Weems and Cheikh Samb, both currently on assignment from the Denver Nuggets, on the 14ers roster. Drafted by the Nets with the 17th overall selection in the 2007 NBA Draft, Williams has appeared in 16 games for New Jersey this season, averaging 1.6 points and 2.1 rebounds in 11.1 minutes. Williams appeared in 73 games for the Nets last season, 29 as a starter, and averaged 5.6 points and 4.4 rebounds.
COLORADO 14ERS' JOSH DAVIS NAMED NBA D-LEAGUE PERFORMER OF THE WEEK
Josh Davis of the Colorado 14ers has been named the NBA D-League Performer of the Week for games played during the week of Dec. 22, 2008. Davis is the second member of the 14ers to earn the honor this season, joining teammate James Mays who was named Performer of the Week on Dec. 15. Davis led the 14ers to a 3-0 record this week, averaging 20.0 points and 8.0 rebounds while shooting .632 (24-of-38) from the field. His best game came on Sunday, when he scored 25 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in a win over the Tulsa 66ers. For the season, the 6-8 forward is averaging 15.3 points and 6.8 rebounds in eight games.

18 players with D-League experience competed in seven NBA games last night, seven as starters.
Matt Barnes finished with 19 points and six rebounds as the Suns defeated the Thunder 110-102.
Kelenna Azubuike recorded 18 points for the Golden State Warriors. Teammate CJ Watson notched 15.
Washington's Andray Blatche tallied 16 points, eight rebounds and five assists in 36 minutes of play for the Wizards.
Philadelphia's Louis Williams scored 14 points in 28 minutes in last nights action.
