FRIDAY NIGHT HIGHLIGHTS...top performers from Saturday's games
Iowa's Courtney Sims followed up his extraordinary opening night performance with a double-double, recording 23 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Curtis Stinson also notched a double-double of his own with 12 points, 12 boards and added five assists.
In Reno's debut, three players netted double-doubles including Antonio Meeking with 23 points and 12 rebounds, Damone Brown scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds, as well as Jesse Smith with 15 points and 15 rebounds.
Boston Celtics assignee Bill Walker led the way for Utah with 26 points, eight rebounds and five steals. J.R Giddens, also on assignment from Boston, tallied 19 points with 15 coming in the second half and 12 rebounds.
Coby Karl got off to an outstanding start with 25 points and eight assists in Idaho's win over Anaheim.
Malik Hairston scored 33 points, seven rebounds and six assists as the Austin Toros defeated the visiting Tulsa 66ers. Marcus Williams added 20 points and nine rebounds.
Smush Parker scored a team-high 26 points and added seven assists and four rebounds for Rio Grande Valley, while teammate Trent Strickland contributed 24 points and seven rebounds.
ALUMNI ACHIEVEMENTS...a look at D-League Alumni in last night's NBA games
27 players with D-League experience competed in 10 NBA games last night, nine as starters. Here are the highlights:
Golden State Warrior C.J. Watson finished with 23 points, six rebounds and five assists in 36 minutes.
Ramon Sessions scored 16 points, and dished out eight assists in 44 minutes of play for the Milwaukee Bucks.
C.J. Miles collected 16 points two rebounds and two assists for the Utah Jazz.
Mikki Moore netted eight points and pulled down seven rebounds in 26 minutes for the Sacramento Kings.
Bobby Simmons recorded 11 points in New Jersey's 105-88 win over the Jazz.
