AWARDS ANNOUNCEMENT SCHEDULE: The announcement of 2005-06 D-League player awards begins Monday (3/27) with the release of the All-NBA Development League Team, followed by the Defensive Player of the Year (3/28), the Rookie of the Year (3/29), the Jason Collier Sportsmanship Award (3/30) and the MVP (3/31).
WAFER RECALLED: The Los Angeles Lakers recalled guard Von Wafer from Fort Worth on Wednesday. Wafer, originally selected by the Lakers in the second round (39th overall) of the 2005 NBA Draft, appeared in eight games with the Flyers, averaging 8.0 points and 2.5 rebounds in 17.9 minutes.
ASSIGNMENT UPDATE: Nineteen (19) NBA teams have made 37 assignments involving 27 players to the D-League this season. Seven of those players are currently active in the D-League. A quick update on them follows.
