THE SCOOP: Yarnell's Ice Cream Company is honoring the Arkansas RimRockers with a specially designed carton. EVERY MINUTE COUNTS: Since reporting for work to the Fayetteville Patriots on January 4, guard Melvin Sanders has averaged 20.5 minutes and 20.5 points over two games. He has also converted 16-of-22 (.727) field goal attempts.
EYES ON FAYETTEVILLE: With still a few days for the list to grow, almost 50 scouts, general managers, assistant general managers and player personnel types from 29 NBA teams have been credentialed for the 2006 D-League MLK Showcase which begins Sunday at the Crown Coliseum in Fayetteville, N.C. In addition, 16 international scouts are scheduled to visit the two-day event.

TODAY ON NBA TV: The D-League "Game of the Week", featuring Albuquerque and Fort Worth from January 6, will air at 2 p.m. ET. Roanoke guard Will Bynum will be a guest on "NBA TV Insiders" at 7:20 p.m. ET.
GATORADE CALL-UPDATE: The Houston Rockets have re-signed Tulsa guard John Lucas III. Lucas had been signed by the Rockets on December 29 when the team was granted a special exception from the NBA due to injuries. He was waived by the Rockets on January 4 and re-signed to a 10-day contract on January 8.
MONDAY MOVES: The Tulsa 66ers acquired guard Anthony Wilkins and waived guard Marcus Hill due to injury.
