TODAY'S SERIES INFO: Austin and Florida split a pair of games in Austin in early December...Today's game marks the return of Toros coach Dennis Johnson to Fort Meyers...Johnson was coach of the Flame last season...Florida is opening a five-game homestand.

ANDRE THE GIANT: Flame point guard Andre Barrett is averaging 18.4 pts and shooting 54-percent from the field (55-102) over Florida's last eight games.

ANDRAY THE WIZARD: The Washington Wizards have recalled forward Andray Blatche from the Roanoke Dazzle. Blatche played in six games for the Dazzle, averaging 24.5 minutes, 11.2 points and 6.8 rebounds.

THEY SAID IT: "This is the reason why the [D-League] is there. It's for developing players. It's so important for guys like Andray to go down there and get the kind of game-time experience they need. There's only so much learning a guy can do after practice, during practice or before practice here with the [NBA] team. It's hard to simulate a real game, and young players need that."...Washington Wizards President of Basketball Operations Ernie Grunfeld told the Washington Post on about Andray Blatche's stint with the Dazzle.

TODAY ON NBA TV: The Fort Worth at Arkansas game from December 30 will air on NBA TV today at 2 p.m. ET. Arkansas RimRockers guard Donta Smith, who is on assignment from the Atlanta Hawks, is scheduled to be a guest on "NBA TV Insiders" at 6:30 p.m. ET.
