Naturals to Host World Series Trophy Viewing at Arvest Ballpark on Monday, January 18

SPRINGDALE, AR - The Northwest Arkansas Naturals are excited to announce that the Kansas City Royals 2015 World Series Championship Trophy will be at Arvest Ballpark on Monday, January 18. The event is free and open to the general public and will take place from 2:15pm until 4pm in the Sam's Club Community Room.

Baseball fans of all ages are invited to Arvest Ballpark at that time to take photos of the World Series Trophy won by the Major League Affiliate of the Northwest Arkansas Naturals. Doors to the Sam's Club Community Room will open at 2:15pm so fans arriving early will be asked for form a line for entry. The Naturals encourage fans to arrive early to the event so that all fans will have an opportunity to view the trophy by the conclusion of the event at 4pm. Cameras and camera phones are welcomed as there will not be a designated photographer with the trophy.

In addition to the World Series Championship Trophy being at Arvest Ballpark, the event will feature select members of the Kansas City Royals organization.  Royals VP/Assistant General Manager - Player Personnel J.J. Picollo will be on hand along with INF Christian Colon and Naturals Manager Vance Wilson. Colon, a former Natural in 2011-12, 2014, provided the Royals with the game-winning RBI single in the top of the 12th inning in the deciding Game 5 of the World Series against the New York Mets. Colon will be signing autographs for fans in the Community Room from 2:15pm-2:45pm, and then will be available for photos from 2:45pm-3:15pm.

"What a start to the 2016 year at Arvest Ballpark! Our fans will have a once-in-a-lifetime chance to get a photo with the World Series Trophy and meet with a former Naturals and World Series hero in Christian Colon. We couldn't be more excited to see our fans as well celebrate the achievements of our Major League Affiliate" said Naturals General Manager Justin Cole.

The special event will also include an appearance by Strike the Sasquatch, the Naturals mascot. Strike will be on hand to pose for pictures, sign autographs, and greet fans as they enter the Sam's Club Community Room. Raffles will be held for some autographed memorabilia and Arvest Ballpark tours will be available every half hour for interested fans. The Naturals Team Store at Arvest Ballpark will offer a 25% OFF special during the event for fans on all items except Gift Cards and Team Jackets, along with two (2) special discounted packs that will include a Naturals Gift Card and four (4) Premium Tickets to Opening Day. In addition, any fans that purchase season tickets or a mini pack on January 18th will receive four (4) complimentary suite tickets to the game on Tuesday, April 12th.

The Northwest Arkansas Naturals will return to action on Thursday, April 7 of 2016 when they host the Frisco RoughRiders, the Double-A Affiliate of the Texas Rangers, to begin Season Nine of Naturals Baseball.
