Springdale, AR- After an explosive game on Friday night, the Northwest Arkansas Naturals (3-6) couldn't continue their hot hitting, losing to the San Antonio Missions (5-4), 3-1 on Saturday night.

Missions starting pitcher Steve Garrison (1-1) was the player of the night, carrying a no-hitter through seven innings before being taking out due to a high pitch count. Edwin Moreno came on for Garrison and surrendered the first hit when Marc Maddox singled to left field with one out in the eighth inning. Garrison went seven innings on the night, striking out five while walking two batters and facing one over the minimum. The Missions' Sean Kazmar had two hits on the night with two runs batted in.

The Naturals' offense managed to get a run in the ninth inning when Irving Falu singled to center, scoring Jose Duarte. Starting pitcher Daniel Cortes had a decent outing, tossing four shutout innings, allowing only two hits, striking out two batters while giving up three walks. Paul Mildren (0-2) picked up the loss, going two innings, allowing only one run on two hits, with one strike out and walked a season-high four batters.

The Naturals will now welcome in the Corpus Christi Hooks for a three-game series beginning on Sunday at 4 p.m. Sunday will feature "Family Sundays" presented by Nickelodeon and Viacom Consumer Products.
