Naturals Announce 2016 Additions to Arvest Ballpark

SPRINGDALE, Ark - The Northwest Arkansas Naturals remain committed to keeping Arvest Ballpark one of the nicest and most state-of-the-art venues in all of professional sports. Ballpark additions have been made each off-season to enhance the overall fan experience and to keep the ballpark functioning at a high level as the ninth season in Northwest Arkansas begins.

The Naturals are excited to announce the new additions that have been made to Arvest Ballpark during the most recent off-season that will enhance the game day experience for fans during the 2016 season. The team will return to action in eight (8) days with Opening Day that is set for Thursday, April 7. Fans attending Opening Day will have the opportunity to see the most recent additions while the Naturals take on the Frisco RoughRiders, the Double-A Texas Rangers, at 6:25pm.

NEW HD VIDEOBOARD

The new LED 13HD videoboard was constructed in March. The previous SD videoboard had an active display area of 15.75' x 29' whereas the new videoboard provides an active display area of approximately 16.8' tall by 66' wide. In addition to the larger display area, fans will enjoy the better resolution as the new LED 13HD videoboard will go from 16mm 300x552 to 13mm 392x1540. The higher resolution combined with a new fully encapsulated module design and brighter display image will offer fans crisp, clear imagery no matter where your seat is located. It will also feature a digital line score at the top left-hand of the videoboard that will be easily visible for fans.

THE BULLPEN

The Naturals renovated The Bullpen concessions stand located down the first base line with two more HD TVs on the exterior and six high top tables, in addition to numerous picnic tables and umbrella covered seating. It now 60 beverage choices on tap and in the cooler each night. The Bullpen hosts Saturday Night Happy Hours every Saturday home game from 4:35pm-5:35pm where fans can play baggo and enjoy discounted beverages. The Bullpen also offers delicious BBQ options including BBQ Platters and the Three Little Piggies sandwich on select nights.

THE HOME RUN PORCH

The largest party area at Arvest Ballpark was rebranded this past off-season as groups of 50 to 1,500 can now enjoy The Bud Light Home Run Porch. The Bud Light Home Run Porch, formerly known as the Bud Light Bullpen Café, is located beyond the left field wall and features flexible picnic-style seating for large groups. The area requires a minimum of 50 people to reserve and includes five (5) different options that include an all-you-can-eat buffet, drinks, and ticket.

THE NATURALS TEAM STORE

The Naturals Team Store, formerly known as Red Dirt Outfitters, received a makeover during the off-season. While shopping for the latest in Naturals and Royals merchandise, fans will notice the name change as well as the new carpet throughout the entire store. In addition to the cosmetic changes, the Naturals Team Store will have sales racks for fans, T-shirt Tuesday every Tuesday night home game featuring Buy One, Get One FREE T-shirts and What's It? Wednesday specials during the year.

SUITE LEVEL

The nightly rental suites will now have new décor with some photos of our previous eight (8) seasons at Arvest Ballpark.

FIELD LEVEL

The infield was laser graded this off-season and the team also upgraded some of the field equipment including the screens for batting practice. The dugouts are now equipped with new rail pads and netting that stretches down the baseline.

CLUBHOUSE LEVEL

The home clubhouse is equipped with new chairs that are navy and feature the Naturals logo on the seat with 'KC' on the chair back pad. In addition, the outside hallway is aligned with décor honoring the history of the franchise in the Texas League, our proud affiliation with the Kansas City Royals, and accomplishments of Naturals alumni in the Major Leagues.

The Northwest Arkansas Naturals will return to action on Thursday, April 7 of 2016 when they host the Frisco RoughRiders, the Double-A Affiliate of the Texas Rangers, to begin Season Nine of Naturals Baseball.
