
Natasha Howard Wins Western Conference Player of the Week

ARLINGTON, TX - Natasha Howard has been named the Western Conference Player of the Week, the league announced today.
Over the course of four games (July 5-12), Howard led the Wings to three wins, averaging 23 points, 11.5 rebounds and 2.8 assists. During the previous four games, Howard turned in three double-doubles and set a season high in points against Las Vegas (32 points at LVA 7/5), which was one point shy of tying her career high and also set a season high in rebounds against Minnesota (7/12) when she grabbed 14 rebounds. For the season, Howard has recorded eight double-doubles and is currently averaging 17.9 points and 8.5 rebounds, which are the 14th and 7th best averages in the WNBA, respectively.
This is Howard's fifth career Player of the Week honor and first as a member of the Dallas Wings. Howard previously won the award three times with Seattle in 2019 (6/2, 6/16 & 7/21) and once with New York (9/19) in 2021. This is the third time a member of the Dallas Wings has been awarded Western Conference Player of the Week in 2023, as ArikeOgunbowale (5/30) and SatouSabally (6/13) were also awarded Player of the Week honors this season.
