
Natalia Kuikka Set to Particpate in 2022 UEFA European Women's Championship with Finland

PORTLAND, Ore. - Portland Thorns FC defender Natalia Kuikka was named to the Finland Women's National Team roster for the 2022 UEFA European Women's Championship from July 6-31 in England, it was announced today. In Group B, Finland will play against Spain, Denmark and Germany to begin the tournament.
Finland will open the tournament against Spain on July 8 at 9 a.m. (Pacific) with a stream available on ESPN+. In their second group stage match, Finland will square off against Denmark on July 12 at 9 a.m. (Pacific) before concluding group play against Germany on July 16 at 12 p.m. (Pacific). Finland's July 12 and July 16 matches will be broadcast on ESPN2. All matches will be played at Stadium MK in Milton Keynes, England.
Kuikka, 26, participated in all eight of Finland's qualifying matches for the tournament, recording one goal and helping Helmarit to six shutout wins. This will mark her second appearance at the EUROs after making her senior national team debut in the 2013 tournament. Finland's three-time National Player of the Year (2017, 2020, 2021), Kuikka has earned 67 caps for her country.
