From the Notes

Martini Ties Velez: With a single in his final at-bat last night, Nick Martini extended his consecutive on-base streak to 36 games. The mark is tied for the longest by a Nashville Sounds player since MLBAM began tracking the stat in 2009. In 2013, Eugenio Velez reached in 36 consecutive games. Martini's streak is the longest active streak in the Pacific Coast League, and second-longest in 2018 behind only Fresno's Tyler White who reached in 45 straight games from April 5 to May 24. Since April 14, Martini has reached in every game he has played in and is hitting .311 (37-for-119) with 18 RBI, 21 runs, 6 doubles, 3 home runs and 30 walks.

Shut Me Out: Last night's shutout win was the sixth of the season for the Sounds, and just the second time the Dodgers were blanked in 2018. It is also Nashville's third 1-0 shutout of the season. They also have 1-0 wins over Omaha on April 15 (7 innings) and Iowa on April 19 (10 Innings).

Milburn Joins Naile and Gossett: Starter Matt Milburn became the third Sounds pitcher in 2018 to record a start of 6+ IP and 0 R, joining James Naile (April 15 vs. Omaha, 7 IP) and Daniel Gossett (May 15 at Memphis, 6 IP).

Quality Work: Matt Milburn's quality start was the 10th by a Sounds starter in the month of May. In 25 games in May, Nashville starters are 9-9 with a 4.74 ERA (136.2 IP/72 ER). In April, Sounds starters turned in only four quality starts and went 5-11 with a 3.33 ERA (113.2 IP/42 ER).
