From the Notes

Race for the Best Home Record: With their current record of 40-27 at First Tennessee park in 2018, the Sounds own the best home record in the Pacific Coast League. The Fresno Grizzlies wrapped up their home schedule with a 41-28 record. Nashville remains percentage points ahead of Fresno with three home games remaining.

Attendance Chase: With another sellout crowd of 11,282 last night, the Sounds' 2018 attendance number sits at 573,705. The highest single-season attendance at First Tennessee Park was last year when 593,679 fans passed through the gates.

Murphy's Debut: 23-year-old catcher Sean Murphy makes his Sounds and Triple-A debut tonight. Murphy is the #3 prospect in the A's organization and the #4 catcher prospect in all of baseball, according to MLB Pipeline. Murphy began the season in Double-A Midland where he hit .288 (74-for-257) with 51 runs, 26 doubles, 8 home runs and 43 RBI in 68 games before he suffered a broken hamate bone in July.

Run, Jorge, Run: Shortstop Jorge Mateo collected his 16th triple of the season in last night's win - a Nashville Sounds single-season franchise record. The speedster also stole his 24th base of the season and hasn't been caught stealing since June 27. Mateo finished last night's game 3-for-4 with three runs scored. It was his third game of the season scoring three runs.

100 Homers: Last night's three-run blast by Anthony Garcia was the 100th home run hit by the Sounds in 2018. Garcia leads the team with 24, followed by Franklin Barreto's 18, Ramon Laureano's 14 and Jake Smolinski's 10. 37 of Nashville's 100 home runs have come at First Tennessee Park and 63 have come on the road. The Sounds have hit 65 solo homers, 27 two-run blasts, 5 three-run home runs and 3 grand slams.
