Washington went undefeated in preseason games for the 2008 campaign. The Mystics defeated the Sacramento Monarchs 90-82, New York Liberty 58-52 and the Houston Comets 72-66.
"We are anxious to get the season started," said General Manager, Linda Hargrove. "We feel that we have a great mix of veterans and young talented players and expect to improve as the season goes on."
The Washington Mystics will tip off the 2008 season on Saturday, May 17th, on the road against the Indiana Fever. Washington will host the club's home opener on Sunday, May 25th, against the four-time WNBA Champion Houston Comets at 4:00 p.m. Individual tickets are currently on sale on www.ticketmaster.com.
