Myrtle Beach Pelicans News Release

The Pelicans aim to avoid being swept at home for the first time this season when they play a homestand finale against the Winston-Salem Dash. First pitch at BB&T Coastal Field is scheduled for 6:05 p.m.

RHP Cameron Bayne (9-4, 3.33) at RHP Wilfredo Boscan (3-8, 4.43)

WE MUST PROTECT THIS HOUSE!: The Myrtle Beach losses on Friday and Saturday at the hands of the Dash guaranteed that the Pelicans would drop their third home series of the season. Still, with a series mark of 11-3-2 at BB&T Coastal Field, the Birds hold the Carolina League's best home record at 36-16. On Sunday the Pelicans will play to avoid being swept at home for the first time in 2011. They lost two out of three to the Lynchburg Hillcats May 13-15 and also lost two of three against the Kinston Indians June 29-July 1. Myrtle Beach has not been swept in a series on the Grand Strand since May 14-16, 2010, when they lost three straight to the Salem Red Sox.
