Mustangs Coaches Tabbed as Directors of AC Milan Chicago

Hoffman Estates, IL- The Chicago Mustangs, proud members of the Major Arena Soccer League (www.MASLSoccer.com), would like to congratulate Head Coach Armando Gamboa and Assistant Coach Dino Delevski on their new elite youth program partnership with Italian powerhouse AC Milan.
The program, the AC Milan Chicago Soccer Academy, will bring together the area's top talent to compete both domestically and internationally for one of the largest soccer brands in the world. The announcement was made Sunday evening at the Grand Sports Arena, the new home of the AC Milan Chicago Soccer Academy, and featured coaches Gamboa and Delevski as well as the Director of AC Milan Detroit, Francesco Cilano, and Davide Corti, the Technical Director for AC Milan's World Soccer Schools.
Nearly 500 players, family members, and coaches gathered for the historic announcement and got a small taste of the curriculum designed for these programs by the legendary Italian soccer club.
Coach Gamboa strongly believes that the local talent and coaching staff will be able to represent the AC Milan name very well.
"We are extremely confident that the quality of the teams we will feature will match the quality of the AC Milan brand," Gamboa said. "It is truly a great time to be a part of our clubs."
The affiliation between the clubs includes the exchange of staff and players as well as the sharing of their soccer related curriculums that will benefit the players in a big way.
"Being able to set up an exchange and use AC Milan's curriculum for the Chicago Academy is huge," Gamboa said. "These types of opportunities are everything we want and could ask for when it comes to setting our players up to succeed."
While the full details of the program will be released in a few weeks, both Gamboa and Delevski are extremely excited to embrace the opportunity and hit the ground running.
"We are grateful to Francesco Cilano and AC Milan for creating this opportunity and we are ready to prove that we have what it takes to produce the next batch of great soccer players," Delevski said. "Everything starts with a dream, now we fulfill it."
Cilano sees a bright future for the AC Milan Youth Academies and believes the passion for the sport will shine bright through these programs.
"Our history is not the past, it's the way we have chosen to face our future," Cilano said. "It's entertainment and passion, this is AC Milan! It's a matter of hearts...yours and ours. Forza Milan!"
