Mustangs Announce Special Partnership with Barrington High School

Hoffman Estates, IL- The Chicago Mustangs, proud members of the Major Arena Soccer League (www.MASLSoccer.com), have developed a unique media partnership with Barrington High School's BHS-TV.
The Mustangs and BHS-TV have linked up to give students the opportunity to experience working in sports media while helping to create and develop different types of content to be featured across all of the Mustangs' social media platforms. Students will also have a chance to shadow members of Chicago's media department and learn about the day-to-day operations of the department.
"The students in the Barrington High School video program are excited to join forces with the Chicago Mustangs," BHS-TV supervisor Jeff Doles said. "The partnership will create unique opportunities and learning experiences for the students where they will create videos and graphics for a professional sports team."
While students will get a hands-on look at working in sports which will better prepare them for their futures, Chicago's Director of Media and Outreach Adam Cumbee believes that this will largely benefit both sides in the long run.
"I'm extremely excited about the opportunity to work with BHS-TV," Cumbee said. "They do phenomenal work and I believe giving the students the chance to work with a professional organization will benefit them greatly, but it also gives us a bunch of young, energetic minds who bring a lot to the table creatively."
Beyond the fresh faces and fresh ideas, Cumbee is also excited to share his experience and knowledge with the aspiring media members.
"I went through a program like this in high school except we didn't have a chance to work with many professional types," Cumbee said. "To see what Jeff has done with this department is amazing...I've learned a lot during my time working in sports and I can't wait to share that with the next batch of media superstars."
