
Musketeers Storm Past Tri City

(Sioux City, IA) - The Sioux City Musketeers' playoff chances are alive and well following a 3-1 victory over Tri City at the Tyson Events Center on Wednesday.
All scoring occurred in the third period. Brenden Olson put Sioux City ahead 1-0 with 9:35 left in regulation. Five minutes later Brian Carrabes snapped an unassisted wrist shot past Storm netminder Chase Clark to double the Musketeer lead.
Tri City's Matt Knies gave his team life, scoring with the goalie pulled with 1:25 remaining but Chase Bradley put the game away with an empty net goal moments later.
Six different Musketeers recorded a point and Akira Schmid finished with 20 saves as Sioux City improves to 29-21-1 overall. Wednesday's victory puts the Musketeers into a tie with Omaha for third place in the Western Conference standings. Each team will play two more regular season games with Sioux City hosting Fargo on Friday and Saturday.
