REBOUND Official Sports Drink Of The Murfreesboro Musicians !

The Murfreesboro Musicians franchise announces a long term endorsement of ReboundFX sports drink as the official drink of the team. Grammy nominated Gospel Jazz artist and Musician's GM Ben Tankard along with team president and noted dentist, Alrich Perry join NBA ALL-STAR-Theo Ratliff as well as other pro players in support of the super drink that provides energy with all natural ingredients.

REBOUND YOUR ENERGY !!!

Like many NBA players, Ratliff has been using American Longevity products to insure his continued excellent health and to get that "competitive edge" so important to professional athletes.

Ratliff is one of the NBA's most dominating defensive players known for his hustle on and off the court. However after a series of injury plague seasons, Ratliff reached a low point in the 2001-2002 season when he missed 79 games. He committed himself to American Longevity products and (REBOUNDED) to lead the NBA in shots blocked for the second time in his career and to play, for the first time in his career 81 of 82 regular season games. Ratliff has become an American Longevity advocate to teammates and his peers in the NBA. With the support of REBOUND FX, Ratliff will undoubtedly be a perennial challenger for the shot blocking title for years to come.

Tankard is also a hard worker who wears many hats and is tremendously gifted. After leaving pro basketball with an injury Tankard discovered his true destiny in the area of music. 18 years and 15 CDs later he is the best selling gospel/jazz instrumentalist of all time with 3 Grammy nods, 10 Stellar awards and 8 Dove considerations.

With annual concert tours, speaking engagements, his post as Pastor of Destiny Center Church, working with NBA player development and his "favorite" gig as husband to Jewel and father to Cyrene,Marcus,Benji,Britney, and Brooklyn...Ben's body has to REBOUND from all these activities and ReboundFX provides the energy to do it.

Musicians team President, Dr. Alrich Perry has a clientele of over 8,000 patients in Middle Tennessee. With a busy surgery schedule, it is important that he is alert and refreshed and ready to "REBOUND" each day to fulfill his appointments as a top dentist and pro franchise president. He also serves on several boards as well.

Theo, Aldrich and Ben invite you to REBOUND towards high energy and good health!

BASKETBALL NEWS:

THE NBA REPORT 2005-06 Season By Coach Steve Tucker, NRV Sports.com Writer/Columnist

Monday; January 2, 2006 THE NBA TOP 10:

1-DETROIT PISTONS (24-4) - (Last Week: 1) - The Pistons December record is 13-2 after a Big Win over the Miami Heat this past week and a loss vs LeBron & the Cavs that ended their 9 game winning streak! Detroit is head & shoulders above all the competition right now early into the NBA Season! 2-SAN ANTONIO SPURS (24-7) - (Last Week: 3) - The Champs come back with a vengeance and with renewed passion after a humbling defeat against the Pistons on Christmas Day. Manu Ginobili had returned from injury and all seems back on track now in San Antonio. 2-DALLAS MAVERICKS (22-8) - (Last Week: 2) - After giving up 62 points to Kobe Bryant, the Mavs have rededicated themselves to Defense and are continuing to show that they are a legitimate NBA Championship Contender! 4-MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES (19-10) - (Last Week: 4) - It seems that Jerry West has constructed another masterpiece in Memphis! The Grizzlies continue to get better & better. They are winning in various ways, winning OT games, and winning on the road! All good signs that better things are waiting just ahead. 5-CLEVELAND CAVALIERS (18-10) - (Last Week: 5) - The Cavs have won 7 of their last 10 games, which includes a Big Win vs the Detroit Pistons. But to move to the upper echelon of the NBA, the Cavs must improve & become a more consistent defensive team! 6-NEW JERSEY NETS (17-12) - (Last Week: NR) - The NJ Nets leap into the Top 10 after winning 8 straight games (tops in the NBA right now). New Jersey seems to have found themselves as Jason Kidd, Vince Carter, & Richard Jefferson seem to have found a way to play and be successful playing together! 7-MIAMI HEAT (19-13) - (Last Week: 7) - The Heat rebounded from their loss last week to the Pistons in Detroit with two straight wins. They still have a ways to go to catch the Pistons, but Coach Pat Riley have the Heat headed in the right direction and you get the feeling again that Shaq, D-Wade, & Co. seem headed to another head on collision with the Pistons for the Eastern Conference Championship. 8-PHOENIX SUNS (19-10) - (Last Week: NR) - The Suns have won 4 straight and continue to improve! Shawn Marion is averaging 19.8 ppg & 11.6 rpg, and has taken his game to a very high level recently! And remember, Amare will be back soon!!! 9-LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS (17-12) - (Last Week: 9) - The Clippers have fallen on hard times recently, but seem to be getting back on track now. Elton Brand is averaging 25.5 ppg & 10.9 rpg. Many feel Brand deserves a serious MVP look! 10-MILWAUKEE BUCKS (16-11) - (Last Week: 10) - The Bucks are one of the up & coming teams in the NBA right now, but they have to be at full strength to be successful. Losing PG, TJ Ford (sprained foot) have hurt them. Look for Ford to be out 2 to 3 weeks.

HONORABLE MENTION (Just On The Outside Looking In):

* INDIANA PACERS (15-12) - The Pacers are struggling, but they are still one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference! The Ron Artest distraction has taken its toll and the Pacers need to pull the switch on trading this problem child! It's time to do the deal and move on... * LOS ANGELES LAKERS (15-15) - The Lakers are a young team and with Kobe Bryant being suspended for two games, it set them back a bit this week. They've lost 4 straight after a hot streak! The Lakers will rebound from this with Kobe back and possibly with Ron Artest on his way to the Lakers? * GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS (17-14) - The Warriors are coming off a tough & long road trip! They kept their heads above water and won some Big Games on the road. Baron Davis & his young teammates continue to develop. The Warriors are sitting right on the fence right now and could go either way?

NBA HONORS FOR THE WEEK:

TEAM OF THE WEEK: NEW JERSEY NETS-The New Jersey Nets seem to have found their stride and have found a way for Kidd, Carter, & Jefferson to shine together. Early on in the season both Carter & Jefferson struggled to play on the court together, for they are such similar players. But they've become comfortable with each other now and J-Kidd can still run the fast-break and dish the ball with the best PG's in the NBA. The Nets have also improved defensively and their athleticism truly gives people trouble. The Nets just have to find a way to counteract the frontlines of both Detroit & Miami to take the next step to getting back to the top in the Eastern Conference! The Nets have now won 8 straight games and are leap frogging in the Power Rating and have jumped to the top of the Atlantic Division.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: VINCE CARTER - Vince Carter has become so much more than just a Runner & Dunker as he was early in his professional career. Carter has become very diverse now in the ways he can beat you! He has improved his perimeter game to go along with a still explosive power game to the basket, and he can still finish better than anyone in the League attacking the basket. Carter is averaging on the season 24.3 ppg, but has averaged 32.1 ppg during the Nets current 8 game winning streak. He is averaging 7.0 rpg & 5.6 apg during this Nets streak too! "Vincanity" also recently exploded for 51 points vs the Heat in Miami.

NBA NEWS:

RILEY SIGNS EXTENSION WITH THE HEAT Coach Pat Riley signed a contract extension with the Miami Heat this week. It was not addressed by the Heat whether it was for his duties as Team President or Head Coach! Riley did not address the extension on Sunday, when the Heat defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 97-70. Since taking over for Stan Van Gundy, who resigned as coach last month, Riley is 8-3 with Miami. He is 362-273 in parts of nine seasons with the Heat, whom he's been with since the 1995-96 season - when he signed a 10-year contact to be the team's coach and president. He led the Heat to six playoff appearances and resigned as coach shortly before the 2003-04 season, turning the job over to Van Gundy. Riley led the "Showtime" Los Angeles Lakers to four NBA championships during the 1980s.

CAVALIERS BEAT DETROIT TO END THE PISTONS WINNING STREAK The Cavaliers weren't intimidated by the Pistons' impressive record, rich history or Ben Wallace's biceps. With a Pistons-like defensive performance, Cleveland made Detroit look ordinary in a 97-84 victory. One day after LeBron James turned 21, and against the NBA's top squad, the Cavs may have come of age, too. James scored 30 points with seven rebounds, seven assists and four steals against the Pistons, who had their winning streak stopped at nine and lost for just the fourth time. Zydrunas Ilgauskas added 18 points, Hughes 16 and Drew Gooden 12 with 13 rebounds for the Cavaliers, who posted their most impressive victory on the final day of '05 and improved to 13-3 at Quicken Loans Arena.

BRYANT SUSPENDED BY NBA Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant was suspended for two games without pay Friday for elbowing Mike Miller of the Memphis Grizzlies in the throat. Bryant was called for a flagrant foul for elbowing Miller with 8:24 remaining in the fourth quarter in Wednesday night's 100-99 overtime loss to the Grizzlies. He is scheduled to serve his suspension Sunday, when the Lakers host Utah, and Tuesday, when Los Angeles plays at the Jazz. "Very surprised. Shocked, actually. Very, very surprised," Bryant said after practice Friday. "Angry and frustrated. I've been hit with a couple of flagrant fouls already this year. I've been hit with a clothesline and no suspensions come of that. and I get two games for this?"

KEY NOTES FOR THE COMING WEEK:

* On Wednesday night, January 4th, watch two of the best little men in the NBA match-up with Allen Iverson and Steve Nash leading their teams as the Sixers visit Phoenix to play the hot Suns. * On Thursday on TNT in the early game it will be Tracy McGrady vs LeBron James as the Rockets & Cavs do battle. It'll be two of the best scorers in the NBA going shot for shot! * On Friday night on NBA TV it'll be the battle for supremacy in Los Angeles as the Lakers & Clippers do battle for the second time this season. The Clippers defeated the Lakers earlier in the season in a hard fought game. Can the Lakers hold on to the Championship of LA?

Enjoy this weeks NBA Hoop Action... 2006 should being with it much drama in the NBA! All the Best & God Bless...
